Bodyscape1 Theresa

OK, so I said I was going to lay off the digital work until my traditional pieces were finished but… Oh well. These are some digitally altered “Bodyscapes” that I did based on stock photos here on dA. I really enjoyed seeing so many bodyscapes posted in many galleries around here and thought these would work great as starting points for some big mixed media pieces.

Years ago my drawing professor had us draw what he called “conjunctions” for a project. We basically drew joints and limbs and what not, and I wasn’t really fond of the assignment. However one of these that turned out really well was of a plump model. I drew her form the side with the conjunction being her left shoulder. Also from that angle I drew her ample breast and belly folds caused by her slouching pose. I loved it and she hated it. I suppose this drawing has been in the back of my mind and has come back to inspire me again recently.

I have made dozens of these but will only be uploading a few.
